| The Knik Arm is bounded by the Municipality of Anchorage and Mat-Su Borough. The Knik Arm Crossing Project is proposed to link two jurisdictions in the vicinity of Port of Anchorage and Port MacKenzie. The two ports are now separated by 90 miles of road. The proposed 2.7 mile crossing project would support freight-handling capacity, mobility and improved regional operations serving airport, military and Alaskan consumer needs.
